District heating distribution system

Water is pumped from wells into pumping stations and then either directly to users or hot-water tanks. From hot-water tanks, water flows to the user and in some cases water is discharged to the user. From users, return water runs back into the pumping station where it is mixed with hot water to cool it. Water from the pumping station is not hotter than 80 ° C but water from wells and geothermal plants is often hotter.
